Anthony’s journey is the soul of AXA Engineers. From his aspiration to build a bridge connecting the potential of Vietnamese engineers with the global market, he has crafted a unique business philosophy. He is the chief architect of the “Happy Business Model” and the ATED program, the foundation for an environment where engineers can find joy in their work and realize their full potential. From an Aspiration to a Philosophy

In 2016, AXA Engineers was born with the aspiration of building a bridge to connect the potential of Vietnamese engineers with the needs of the global market. But Anthony soon realized that to build a sustainable bridge, it couldn’t be based on processes alone; it had to be built on a stronger foundation: People.

He architected the “Happy Business Model”—a philosophy that went against the grain of the outsourcing industry. Instead of focusing on maximizing short-term profits, he focused on building an environment where every individual felt valued, heard, and empowered to “thrive.” This philosophy evolved into the ATED (AXA Engineers Total Employee Development) program and became the soul of our slogan: “Where engineers thrive, not just perform.”

While your Project Manager will be your primary point of contact, our senior leadership, particularly CEO Anthony Nguyen, stays closely engaged and participates in key stages like project kick-offs and major milestone reviews. Our “servant leadership” philosophy means that leadership is always available to remove any roadblocks, ensuring your project runs as smoothly as possible.

It provides two major benefits. First, deep understanding: our US-based team helps us immediately grasp changes in market standards, regulations, and expectations without any delay. Second, seamless communication: you have a point of contact in your own time zone for strategic discussions, ensuring that your requirements and vision are communicated accurately and quickly to the execution team in Vietnam.

When every engineer is trained with a “Leadership Mindset,” they don’t just follow instructions. They proactively “own” their part of the work, ask themselves “How can this be better?”, and feel responsible for the project’s collective success. This means you work with a proactive, highly accountable team, which leads to fewer errors and more innovative solutions for your project.

Through system and example. Our philosophy is systemized in the ATED training program, which applies to every member regardless of office. Managers are trained to lead according to the “servant leadership” spirit. Additionally, we regularly organize joint activities and sharing sessions to ensure everyone is on the same page, with one culture, no matter where they work.

Our Project Managers are the “ambassadors” of our philosophy on every project. They are responsible not only for managing timelines and technicals but also for creating a mini “Three Treasures Environment” for their project team: being a “Wise Teacher” to provide direction, fostering the “Good Friends” spirit for collaboration, and ensuring adherence to the “Good Books” (our processes). Their success is measured not just by the project’s outcome, but by the growth and cohesion of their team.
