Situated in Onslow County, the The Tranquil Valley Development aims to create a sustainable residential community that integrates seamlessly with its flat terrain and surrounding wetlands. The project’s flat terrain and extensive wetland areas present unique challenges in stormwater and sewage drainage as well as road profile design.

Stormwater Drainage Solution

The Approach: We propose a road cross-section design with ditches on both sides to collect rainwater, supplemented by culverts to channel water to natural discharge points. This reduces embankment height over pipes compared to a traditional gravity-fed drainage system, ensuring effective water management while preserving the flat terrain.

Abordarea: For the sanitary sewer system, we will employ a pressurized pump station system. This system will push water from within the project to the existing sanitary sewer drainage system, overcoming the limitations posed by the flat terrain and ensuring efficient wastewater management.
